New Artist Spotlight: Drew Martin

Columbus based multi-instrumentalist, Drew Martin, is releasing his debut EP Modern + Art on February 11th. Modern + Art is a six song EP in two halves. The first half is original music (Modern) while the second half is comprised of new arrangements of great existing songs (Art).

The 30 minute release offers the listener songs spanning several styles, but it’s the first single “Either” and another song “Harvest” that caught our attention. With a lo-fi jazz/hip-hop fusion feel, you can see Martin was inspired by the works of J-Dilla, and Robert Glasper.

Martin plans to release a second single on February 4th, “(Almost) No Ghosts,” with another album planned later in the year. Martin's music is available on all streaming platforms.
